my bristlenose plecs have bred again, the first batch of eggs came to nothing but this batch has hatched over night and i can see them wriggling.

i would like to try and raise these babys dad is still in the cave with them now and im not sure the best way to go.

there in my 45 gallon community tank

now should i leave them until dad stops looking after them then move them to another tank, or should i remove them now ?

do they only come out of the cave when there egg sack has gone?

any advice would be welcome

i would leave them till dad lets hem out he will stay close by them they will look like mini me daddys when they comemout of the cave mine are in the process of spawning as we speak

yep - just leave them to it :)

they will be let out when dad feels they are ready... At that point start feeding a little more than usual and after likghts out will help them get more food :)

thanks for that both of you.

i will leave them till they are out and about.

smithrc..... the cave i got from you is where they chose to mate. thanks again :good:

I let the father raise and kick out the fry. It took roughly a week before the first fry started to come out so give them a few days. :)
