Morning!

I've just moved from black gravel to sand and my BN is doing his best to dig underneath each piece of wood in the tank, creating quite a mess and stirring up the substrate underneath.

I believe he is doing this to find somewhere to 'hide' and stay out of the light so I'm looking to add some rocks to provide a more solid place for him to rest. However, he might be doing it just to get at the different parts of the wood for feeding.

Anyone got tips to prevent or help the situation?

Once he is happy with his den he 'should' stop, my 2 females haven't dug yet but my RTBS is a pain for it

Add plenty of caves, I usually place mine around the wood so the plecos don't have to go very far..

Agreed. My clown plec dug himself a big 'den' underneath the bogwood, then abandoned it and stole the cories den under an ornament  Give him some more hidey holes, slate caves, coconut caves, broad leaved plants to suck onto, it's all good.
