I have a bunch of mollies in my 200ltr tank. I'm aware that mollies can often do better with a brackish setup - especially black mollies.

However I also have a bristlenose pleco in the tank, would she be ok if I converted to brackish?

Not really, no. At a very low specific gravity, SG 1.001-1.002 at 25 C, you might be okay for a while, particularly with the farmed Ancistrus that are really very adaptable. But in the long term you want brackish-tolerant algae eaters such as nerite snails, algae shrimps, Florida flagfish, and of course the mollies themselves. On the catfish and loach front, you're better off with brown hoplosternum and horseface loaches, both of which do fine in low-end brackish.

Cheers, Neale
