i have about 30 fry in a beeding trap with some bogwood, they are a few days old and have a big yellow yolk sack for a belly. my question is do i wait till the yolk sack has gone before i start feeding them and what do they eat?

Congratulations on the fry! Mine are almost 3 weeks old now. I put some liquifry (for egg layers) in my fry net, but they didn't attempt to eat anything until they used their egg sacks up. This took about 4-5 days. Now they are constantly munching on cucumber, carrots and algae waffers! They like peas too.

Indeed, don't feed anything while they are consuming their egg sacks otherwise the food will just sit there and rot.

Add some driftwood/bogwood plus vegies and algae wafers, after the egg sack has completely gone.
