Hi, I need some help, I have just lifted up the log my male bristlenose lives in and there are some bright orange eggs next to him.
Could you tell me if these are bristlenose eggs, also how many days do they take to hatch and what do I do when they have hatched.

hope somebody can help

jo

yup, they are bristlenose eggs. Dad usually looks after them till they are big enough.

What else do you have in the tank?

I have corys, 3 featherfin catfish, bolivan rams, guppys, swordtail and three bristlenoses 1 male 2 females, one female is albino, one is green

I would move the father and the eggs to another tank is possible as them fish will definately pick the young off 1 by 1

Hi, I don't have another tank, i only have a little breeding trap, that won't be big enough will it. How long does it take for them to hatch.

Which of my fish will cause a problem

i would leave them to it untill they hatch and egg sacks are gone then move the young to the breeding trap and wonder consider buying another tank for the young

ps you say you have a green bn never seen or heard of one

Cheers Dane
