I have a pair of Bristlenose plecos, one male called Treeface (cruel I know) and a female. They are just over a year old and two days ago I noticed 30 odd eggs stuck to the glass with Treeface protecting them. They were all orange in colour, but gradually over the last few days they have turned colourless and disintergrated! Now I have none left. Have they all died or have they spawned and then been eaten? Im very confused????

Were the eggs out in the open (sounds like it), If so it is likely that other fish will have eaten them.

As it was their first spawn it is quite likely that they have got it wrong... normally they will spawn in a cave or hole in a bit of bogwood. something like that.

the male then stays in there and protects the eggs and fans water over hem with his fins.

Ours took a few attempts to get it right too.

Keep up with the water changes and they should spawn again in another 4or 5 weeks.
