I have a juvenile Bristlenose catfish which has recently taken a liking to eating Corydora eggs laid in a community aquarium. It is well fed - getting algae wafers and sinking wafers daily, bloodworms once a week and has a ready supply of wood to chew on. I'm just wondering whether it is normal for a Bristlenose to eat another fish's eggs and whether there is anything which I can do to discourage it?

its perfectly normal, actually if you have cories spawning then you are most likely to not have them survive becuase of the other fish eating the eggs, even if the fish is well fed it will eat the eggs :good:

It is a relief to know that egg-eating is a normal behaviour in Bristlenoses. Now I just have to sort out how to rescue the eggs!
