G'day,

I have just gone out and bought a female bristlenose as a buddy for my male. However I didn't really think about the size difference till I got home, but I did want to make sure it was female so I had to get one that was old enough to tell the difference. My concern now is that the male is going to get pick on by the female. She has already flick her tail at him to get him off the bogwood that I have in the tank. Should I be concern or will they sort out there differences.

Male about 3.5cm
Female about 5.5 cm

Cheers

the size differance is not a problem i used to breed the a few year back before i joined the army and now out i have another breeding pair and the female is bigger than the male have not measued them tbh but if you can try and supply a few cave type ornements for them to start to breed

if you want to kinda force them into breeding feed blood worm to them and drop about 40% of the water and replace with cold water and this will trick them in to breeding almost straight away this has also been publised in pfk mag

hope this has some help to you

cheers dane
