Hi all, my bristlenose were breeding in a tank with various african cichlids, i have moved them into another tank by themsevles, same size tank as their old one, same rocks and stuff that they used.

they havnt bred for about 1 month now, just wondering if its just me? or have they stopped?

Is there a trick to keep them going regularly?

Thanks.

some tips to enourage breeding:
- research their water needs and get them exactly right
- When doing water changes, replace the water with COLD water as it makes the fish think it's rain season, which is when they naturally spawn in the wild.
- feed them good quaility foods and live/frozen shrimp and worm.
Also, give them lots of places to hide and protect their fry such as bog wood and PVC pipes

they will take time to settle into their new tank - its normal.

we moved ours to stop the breeeding before we moved - it worked untill 1 week before, when they decided to spawn again - but it was like the first time the bread - they got i wrong and spawned in the open.
