My friend and I went to the LFS store the other day to get a clown pleco. She wanted a pleco but she only has a 10 gallon so I let her know a clown would be best. As it turns out she got a bristlenose by accident. While we were there she picked him out because he "looked different" from the others, I thought at first he was a drab looking clown so she brought him home. I've been looking up the plecos all night to no avail but in the post "pleco invasion" littleme1969 posted pictures of baby bristlenoses. That's exactly the fish my friend just got, which is awesome cuz that pet store sells bristle noses for 10-20 dollars, she got this fish for $4. Anyways to the point, I see in the pinned topics that they get 4-8 inches. Which is more common a size, or does it vary pleco to pleco? I'm guessing she'll have to rehome this guy. Maybe I can convince her to give it to me..hehe lol
