Bristle Nose Catfish

hi my friend has a bristle nose catfish and white patches are appering on it wot could it be
could it be a late colouring albino catfish
i dont know the symtons or wot it looks like but could it be a fungus or something like that

doubt its a late colouring albino, im fairly sure they are born like that. not really sure what else it could be.

Can you get a pic of the affected area/s? There are several fish maladies that start as white patches. All are best treated quickly. It would probably be best to isolate him for now. Watch his behavior for unusual movements. Is he eating, pooping, flicking, hiding more? Keep his water clean. A medication that helps in many cases and is easy on the fish is PimaFix and MelaFix--used together. It may at least hold the progress of a desease at bay until you can figure the best treatment.
