how do I give the frozen shrimp to my ADF? Do I thaw it in hot water than drain the hot water and give it to them that way? Or leave it frozen and put it in there? And a whole cube or not?

I just pop the cube into the tank and my fish eagerly eat it. No thawing :)

I usually leave the cube still in its packet on top of the tank for a while, the heat from the light thaws it out and you can spread the food around more easily if its thawed so everyone gets a fair share:)

i use a shot glass, put the cube in it, put just enough water to cover the cube and let sit for usually about 10 minutes or so until thawed, then i dump it in.

Wow all types of different ideas! All of them seem like good ideas to me.

Never used brine shrimp before but for frozen bloodworms I just hold the cube in the water with my fingers and my fish come up and take it straight from me as the worms thaw and break apart. Might work the same with frozen brine shrimp? I found it's a good way to tame fish, and it's fun! They seem to be alot more comfortable about me having to poke my hands around inside the tank to fix stuff up too. A couple of my fish even go so far as to make it difficult for me to be able to do stuff in the tank because they keep swimming up to my hand to play or get a pat!

I just toss my frozen shrimp and blood worms in at the same time. That way it get's spread out a little. If I put my fingers anywhere near the tank when that stuff is around the little buggers try and take my fingers off  :hey:

lol kinda gets that way in the tanks here at feeding time too, they don't hurt though. I always make sure that I spred it out a bit fer the bottom feeders too
