Brick aquarium stand?

I was thinking that maybe I could make the aquarium stand out of bricks, and then have a nice cedar sheet or something on top to make it level. Would this work? If not, can someone post plans for a good stand?

I would have to go against the idea of using brick, since it won't conform to your floor like wooden stands do. But hey, you can be the first to prove me wrong!

If I were you Id go with Concrete Blocks rather than bricks, For one they are stable without mortar and for two they are lighter Total. I'd make sure that the floor beneth them was level before laying them and also put a piece of foam on top of the wood to spread the wieght even more but Beyond that it shouldnt be to difficult.
