I'm totally new to this hobby.

I intend to fill my 40 Gallon tank with 15-20 fish. I never really imagined that within a short period of time I might have additional fry to contend with. I don't really want more than one tank at this stage.

What are you supposed to do as the number of fish in the tank increases due to intimate relationships between the existing fish? Especially when you read that some fish produce hundreds of fry??

Perhaps I'm being very silly here but I had to ask!!!

Nah! You're not being silly! Depending on what you'll have in your tank, you've got plenty of room.

Hate to say it, but some will also die, as are many will be born. Still you can always sell/swap some. :D

If your ask what to do with the fish ask your local pet storeif they will take them if you dont want them.

If its just a comunity tank I wouldn't worry too much. Unless you have livebearers, the chance of your fish sucesfully spawning and the fry surviving are minimal.

Good I must say I'm relieved. I certainly don't want to wake up one morning and have hundreds of fry swimming round and growing bigger and bigger and bigger!!
