I have five zebra danios and the one has looked really really fat for a while. Now all of a sudden she's getting skinny. I tried doing some research on zebras and breeding. So far all I've come up with is that zebra's lay eggs and then after two days the eggs attach to walls of the tank and start to hatch. Has anyone ever had experience with breedinig danio's?? I'm quite interested in them especially the long-finned zebra danio. Any information as to the breeding and raising of long-finned zebra danio's would be greatly appreciated!! :good: :good:

Almost everyone that has ever kept Zebras has experience with breeding them. As egglayers go, they are a "just add water" species. Anyone with a group of Zebras with both males and females, in anything other then bad water conditions will find the species scatters eggs almost continuously.

As long as you can keep the adults away from the eggs/fry, they are easy to raise. Just keeping the syphonings from a tank in a bucket for a week will often yield viable fry.
