Breeding VTs and DTs?

I have a Red VT male! he looks stunning! thats why i want to breed him! I want to breed him with a Black DT female! What colour would the fry be? What type wuld they be DTs or VTs?

Also what would be the outcome if i bred a Black DT male with a Red VT female? What colour would the fry be? What type would they be DTs or VTs

ive done this with a mutli dt male to a red vt female, i got multi coloured fry, only one ended up being a dt but the rest were vt with a big doubletails dorsal fin.
and a few Crowntails. and one plakat

LOL. All I'm going to say iiss... Prepare yourself. The breeders will be along soon Basicly, they will tell you not to breed VT's.

one is here lol what ever you do please dont breed a VT to the DT male more offen than not all you will get is VT fry some may have the DT dorsal but you wouldnt get any DT fry. you couldnt tell what colours u wud get as you dont know the background of the fish. mostly multis i would say

DT is a recessive trait, and WILL NOT show up in a VT x DT cross, unless the VT in question is a DT carrier.

Furthermore, what the DT is for a base tail type determines what will result. DTs come in Plakat, Veiltail, and Delta versions.

There is simply no way to determine what you will end up with if you spawn your VT and your DT, except one thing is fairly certain...you will not end up with DT.

I agree with Kiarra... what you're going to get is a whole heap of VTs that will be difficult to home. Given that, I would highly discourage you breeding a DT with a VT.... or a VT with anything else, for that matter.
