I have a pair of snowball plecs, who have just suddenly started hanging out together.

Usually, Spencer would wander over and Katherine would chase him away, but the past week, they have been hanging out in a cave together or within 2 inches of each other (one at the window and one on the roof, it's like a stone igloo)

What do you think is going on? do you think they might be eyeing each other up?

Of course we call them girl/boy names but who ever really knows what sex they are. Even if there was a way to tell, they are so elusive and fast, we'd probably not manage to check them out anyway.

So you think we might get little spots or are they just plotting against us?

Ok, we just watched them having an interface. Spencer appearing dominant and Katherine putting up the challenge.

When she laid along side him, he did this shivering vibrating thing with his whole body, they touched tails a few times too. No one hooked it up, but then Spencer jumped on a banjo cat who happened to move as he was concentrating, sending the banjo deep undersand, and Katherine flying towards her cave.

Now, these two have been together since they were babies, are they suddenly disagreeing over space or it there something going on? Does anyone at all know anything about this behaviour? CFC? Wilder? Smithrc? you usually know the answers to everything guys, come on, have a stab at what my plecs are doing.

it's typical agression your seeing...

how big are they?

I wouldnt have expected to see it untill say 5"+...

having said that we lost an LDA33 recently in what is suspected to have been a dissagreement...

They're tiddly still, we have almost given up hope that they are ever going to get any bigger :( they are not 3 inches each yet and we've had them for months.

They are bigger then when we got them but I'd hoped for a growth spurt by now.

Having said that, I posted this a good few days ago and they have quit interfering with each other now. I redid their tank and put in some more hidey-holes and they have chosen caves at opposite ends.

I figured they were having a dispute after the last time I watched them. Katherine was looking very bleached out and Spencer is jet black (as he should be) so I put in some more structures for her to go hide in, assuming she was getting stressed by it.
