I have a few puffers who love feeding on River Shrimp, but it's a hassel to
go the my LFS every week to buy some.

Is it possible to breed them?

I understand they prefer coldwater and it would be easier to keep them outside
It would be convenient to have a constant source of food for my puffers.

As far as i can remember the larvey need to go to sea.

If u have a marine set up and plenty of plankton to rear them on then it may be fine.

Personaly I'll buy them

I believe cherry shrimp and tiger shrimp are quite easy to propagate. Fairy shrimp (freshwater brine shrimp) might be an idea too... Thought they're not real shrimp.

Fairy shrimp are much harder, as when you but the eggs you dont know what species you will get, and the species you can buy lay eggs and (generally) require a drying out period.
