breeding rams???

how do u breed rams ..... i think i can tell male from female cos of the spiked fin and more brighter colours of the male but how do u breed them what do u do..... i dnt have any yet hehehehhee but i really want two!! B)

The rams we have right now, are attempting to breed in a 55 gallon community tank.

Rams are a good cichlid for community tanks. We have a 55 gallon tank with 6 Rams, several Neon Tetras, and some other fish.

What sort of Rams. Standard, Blue or Gold? I Have Blue.

I think you have to have the temp around 77F and PH Around 7.0, I don't know if makes 'em want to breed but it sure makes them more active!!

I have found that the best way to begin to breed rams is to buy a group of young induviduals say 6 fishes, try to get a ratio of 2 females to 1 male & as they grow & mature they will pair off naturally.
If you just buy 1 male & 1 female there is no gaurantee that they will breed.
