what happens when you cross different strains of male/female bettas?

i.e.
male crowntail, female crowntail
male crowntail, female veil
male crown, female dt
male veil, female ct

etc
etc

is there a good site out there that explains the genetics of it all? i am not interested in breeding bettas, but am just curious about this as i have heard warnings of breeding male dt's with female dt's, etc

We do have some stickys above BUT you may want to look here because you can add colours etc and it will predict the out come.....try it genetics predictor
You have to have quite some knowledge about genes, the different color layers and off course the genetic make-up off your fishes.
but only you would know that........
