Everything I have read has said that pictus dont breed in home aquaria, however I have a group of 4 and my largest one was quite plump, but yesterday I noticed scattered accross some bogwood and in the Java fern lots of little white "bits". The cats had been acting odd all swimming together and bumping one another above the bogwood, I didnt actually see a spawn just the odd behaviour then these white bits about 10 mins later. When I checked the tanks again all the "bits" had gone? I am not 100% sure they were eggs as I couldnt get a real close look, but the largest cat is now slimmer?

They could have spawned it sounds like they did. you have a way with getting fish to do it Hahaha.

Yes they will spawn in an aquarium if conditions are right. It does happen just not that often. What the temp of that tank they are in? What's the ph? I have 3 young pictus in my 100 gal I think I keep the tank too warm.
