Hi, does anyone have breeding pair of firemouth cichlids

They would need to be shipped to me since im in northern Ireland, Thanks PM me for more details

Hang on, you've not even got the kribs started yet!!!

The male sadly died because i was on holidays for a week there and my aunt was left to look after them, u can see where this is headed well she probably didnt feed them enough or misread my instructions coz he was half ate *sobs* :-(

Oh no.

Have you tested the water in that tank? Chances are there could be an ammonia spike. A week without food also would not kill a fish like an adult krib so I'd test the water and watch the others for signs of aggression - could be either the female battered him or the acaras did.

the water stats are:
PH:7.2
Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm
Nitrate: 8

the female constantly eats his body :-(
i dont know what im gonna do now, as you probably know the tank is setup to the perfect aquascape for fish that breed in caves, as firemouths breed in pots this has become my idea for the time being, what other idea do you have... yes im still hocked on breeding

so anyone got any firemouths?
