Hey guys!  I have lots of tank ideas one thing I was thinking of adding would be neon tetras.  I have owned them multiple times and they are fun fish.  I think it would be way cool if they could breed.  Have you guys ever bred them before?

I heard they are a bid hard to breed as they need really specific conditions!
I think they are fun fish as well, when they are really healthy they shine like diamonds.

Reason I ask is because I noticed about 2 weeks ago one of my males was chasing a female and eggs did come out of her.  They weren't fertilized, but I am just not sure what they would need to breed. (plants, tank conditions, companions?, temp, etc.)

I let my Neons spawn in the main tank then remove the plant with the eggs on to a rearing tank. I fill the tank with water from the main tank. I do this with all my Tetras.

I normally get 7/8 to adults. It's not many but I'm happy with that amount.

Once they reach about 3/4" I take them to my local pet shop and do a swap for food or plants etc.
