Fish Crazy
Hi,
I have 5 neon tetra in my community tank. By the size & shape of them I would say there were 2 males & 3 females.
Two of the females are very fat and one has a 'lump' on her belly & and seems 'bumpy' (these appear to be bright silver) in that region.
Is this a sign she is about to drop eggs? I don't have a spare tank (but with a seperator could divide either the 36" cory tank or one on my fry 18" tanks to house them temporary). I would put plenty of cobomba in to catch/protect the eggs.
I know if I leave them in the community tank either the clown loach or the rainbow sucking loach (r-bow cae) will get them if the others don't get there first.
I was not intending to breed them but if it happens I would like to save some to increase the group to 10.
