i'm not saying im gonna breed them but IF i ever want to (my friends keep buggin me to breed them but i keep saying no) where would i put the fry when they get bigger? i'd sell them of course cuz that would be too many and i have no room left for anymore fish lol but where would i put them until i give them away or sell them? and what do the betta fry eat?
I just wanna know ALOT more about it before i even start breeding them

thanx 8)

I never said i was gonna breed them i just wanna know incase i do breed them and thats how u find information right? by asking other ppl? :p

but thanx for the link :D

unless they are of really good quality, you probably cant sell them. many pet stores will only buy from breeders with hatchery licenses. you need about 100+ 40+ oz containers too and grow out tanks fr the females.
its definately rewarding but not for everyone :)

hi there, i just tried my first spawn (shh lets not jinx it), but you can use one of those big rubberamid containers (REALLY big ones that hold like 30G) for hte fry growout tank. As for after they grow up, you'll have to find containers for them.

I know my petstores will take them, i have already asked. And since they only carry veitails (becuase to teh average customer that knows nothing about bettas, crowntails will look like they have a shredded tail), and said that they will consider it once they see the bettas.

As well, it hink most local pet stores (not chain ones) wouldn't mind buying a few off you to sell  other than that, start targeting the friends and family :shifty:
