Some of you may know - or have heard that it's a really hot summer so far in the UK...as a result my fishes hormones have gone mad.

2 of my three parrot fish have dug a hole and cleaned thoroughly an area around it, as well as dancing constantly around each other - presumably they are about to breed.

My Tiger barbs have already laid a few eggs in another corner of the tank...

and one of my 5 lions cove/yellow labs is holding.

My tank is a 50 us gallon tank so I doubt any fry would survive but any tips on ways I could save any? If I set up another tank (about half size) would I put them all off breeding by moving them?

Thanks

You could put a breeder tank in the main tank and as soon as the fish have spawned/fertilized the eggs you could fish the eggs out and place them in the breeder tank/net. You will need patience for this.
The alternative is to setup another tank especially for breeding purposes.
