I recently set up a nice all glass 4G fish tank. I currently have 3 endlers in my 29 Gallon and I am looking to breed mt Scarlet Male Endler with a female guppy or endler. I dont have access to any more female endlers so I am hopping to get a hybid if anything. I know 1 male and 1 female endler will fit into the 4G no problem but my concern is if 2 more female guppies would fit? Again this is only temp so they can breed. Once they give birth they will all be moved back to the main 29G tank.

Yay or Nay?

Well, all commercially available Endlers are already Endler/guppy hybrids.

The only real problem I can see is that your female will almost certainly be already pregnant and carrying sperm. If you want to get fry from a specific male, you'll have to isolate her until she's used all that up (probably six broods). It wouldn't really be fair to her to keep her on her own for six months, so you'd have to keep two females together until they've both stopped producing fry (don't know what you'll do with those fry) and then add your selected male.

If you want to raise the fry in a 4g, you'll need to be doing daily water changes to keep them growing well and not get stunted.

Since you are breeding endlers, do not worry too much about having multiple females for each male. True male endlers are very considerate, unlike their guppy cousins. They will simply court a female and will just swim away if she is not interested. The whole female stress issue does not seem to exist for them. I am a registered breeder of wild type endlers and have seen this over and over again.
