I really like Zebra Danios, and I heard that they are easy to breed, and I want to breed them, but I heard that they mate for life. To buy a mating pair do I have to go to a breeder, or do you have some tips on how to spot a breeding pair at my local pet store? If I go to a breeder will it be expensive? I need help.

I'm not sure they do mate for life. They are very easy to breed and will happily try to do so on most days in the right conditions. Buy 10 and soon they will start to spawn.

However, they WILL eat the eggs and any young, so need to be removed after spawning.

+1, they are opportunistic spawners. A group of 10-12 in a 3ft tank are basically guaranteed to give you eggs very quickly. Same goes for white cloud mountain minnows.
