Guys just wondering i been reading up that when breeding corys, rather than adding same temp water during water changes u just add cold water. Can Someone confirm that for me?

What temp water dont want to add water thats to cold.

cold water mimics the rainy season and can induce spawning, not always though. they have to be in the mood

they also like to lay the eggs in a strong flow

And they can handle temperatures down to 60 degs

Lol cheers well i got a tank now with only 5 bronze corys and 1 BN my corys har started going wild there always out and playing since the loss of my other fish:(. So thought theres a slight chance they might breed :)

Will doing this once make them think its rainy season or a few times I don't want to stress other fish too much

3-4 degrees cold water may help trigger them, but also a good diet with plenty of protein food, mine love bloodworm everyday to condition them to have healthy eggs & fry :)
