I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me on a way to build breeding caves for bristlenose pleco's. I'd rather not buy some online.

heres a way to make some decor

I got some small plant pots form homebase at 18p each and just experimented with them(cut them in half, break a bit off the lip and turn up side down etc),got them all ready now for my tank when we move house

Thanks, but I need a different type of cave. Bristle nosed plecos need a square, long box with a tapered end or something similar. They like to take their face and block the entrance from other fish.

Probibly the most favrable method with breeders but im sure in the wild there arn't many square caves with tapered edges and that they would use what ever they deemed a good easy to defend cave. I'm not having a go or disagreeing with you but from the research i've done on breeding them they have bread in tanks without any squared breeding cave using bog wood or other forms of caves, but the squared one is the preferd method for most breeders.
