well, we decided to give these guys a go. the original pair were bought by a friend of mine from siamimbellis in thailand. marianne at bcbetta bred the pair and these two are siblings from that spawn i got for free...

in these pics you see the female in her jar in breeding tank and the male doing his best to impress. water has been heavily treated with indian almond leaf.

well, the kids (around 100) are just under a month old and doing good. as well as this spawn i have a batch of my crown tails (200+) that are at around 3 weeks old. i'll get some pics posted this weekend if anyone is interested
