Breeding Bristlenoses

hi i was woundering when my bn will breed they have been in with each other now for about 4 days how long will it take for them to breed ? i have a female and a male pic of male is inserted ill get the female later

my males about 3-3.5" long

females 2-2.5" long

i have inspected the females mouth and no bristles present even looked with magnifine glass lol but time will tell they dont fight and i saw them sharing the same terretry but no eggs yet lol

but yeh my question is when will they breed?


ps they get blood worm every other day (normaly for the frogs)peas cucumber grape (the male goes crazy for grapes only fed them to them oncelol)

They may or may not breed, just because you have a male and female mean they will get it on.
Just be patient and time will tell.

Ps: Bristlenose are vegetation so they shouldn't really be given blood worm, the odd few bits doesn't matter, but best to try and stop them getting any larger amounts.

One thing i dnt realy agree with is that the bn

Yes normaly would eat veg matter

But it is accualy oniverus eating plant and meat in the wild a bn would eat dead fish if it cld get hold of it and the fact that it will happly eat blood worm again suggests that it is omniverus

But yeh i agree meat all the time is not the best staple food for them but it cant realy be helped

when i was conditioning my bns for breeding they got veg every night with blood worm every other n they deff loved the bloodworm and one day where u dnt feed them a week

yeh im going to buy the bn tubes to put in my tank when i redecorate it lol this week theres gonna be three levels held up by sand and stone i saw it in a book i got from my college libary it is designed to stop waste etc from building up every where and to build up in the selected spot lol
