I've got my first ever spawn of albino bristlenose about 40 days ago, and few days ago, I've gotten the second spawn. This is happening in a community tank with other species, but all other species are super peaceful so they don't hurt the fries.

Now the question is - is this ok for the male? I used to have 1 male and 3 females in the same tank, but one of the female got moved into mbuna tank. Male is almost invisible most of the time - assuming he is guarding the fries until they reach certain size. Of course, during these times, he doesn't eat, and I am now a little concerned about the male over-working. I guess moving one of the female helps reduce the chance of more frequent spawning.

First spawn was 20 fries. The second spawn appears to be at least the same size, if not more...

I really don't want to move the male or even females as it was difficult for me to get everything "correct" for them to start spawning... ;)
