I know a few of you have kept senegalus bichir's, don't know how many if any have bred them.
Anyway I just wondered if my bichir's were starting to get ready to breed. All the time I've had them they haven't paid much attention to each other, the male has been slightly territorial over his log & cave, not really aggressive just nipping the female if she loiters too long.
Lately though he's been swimming with her alot, letting her sleep in his cave with him and just generally being nice to her and seems to enjoy being around her. If you look at my post in the pictures section [topic="180230"]Here[/topic] you'll notice I mention him cupping his anal fin near her. He'll be swimming by her and he will do it but it's like she's not interested, or doesn't notice. Does this sound like he's getting a bit frisky, or is he just being friendly?
