how do i breed bettas!what kind of conditions should i have them in!?

Read the betta sites on breeding--most of them are pretty good at explaining things. BettaTalk.com, bettasrus.com, classicbettas.com, bcbettas.com are some of the ones I can think of without thinking. Don't skim or take shortcuts if you want your breeders to live long and prosper and you want the babies to grow up big and strong. While you're there at the sites, also read the stuff on raising the fry too since you'll need baby food and supplies BEFORE you breed (after the babies have arrived, it's a little late to try to get things together for them). Also know what you will do with all those fish after they mature--you may end up with literally hundreds (I've heard of one breeder who regularly has spawns of 500-800 babies) of bettas from one spawn. Male babies will need to be put into separate jars/tanks when they start nipping; you'll have to have tanks either big enough or have lots of tanks to allow the babies to grow out in. Twice daily feedings until they are about 5-6 months.
