hiya
i have my betta breeding tanks at 79-81 for breeding
u can not have other fish in the tank or they will eat the fry
you should always take the female away as the male looks after the fry untill they are free swimming then u must tank him away.
you can never tell how many fry u will get lol u could get 100, 1000, or only 50 or so:D but better than none i always say lol.
i dont know if your tank is big enough coz i dunno what 2g is lol whats it in inch?

:X

First...lets get this out of the way. You have 2 cories ,a male betta and 2 females in a 2 gallon? :S A 2 gallon can really only hold the 1 male betta,IMO.

Breeding is tricky and there are all kinds of tips and techniques that you pick up along the way. I highly suggest that you avoid it until you have

1~ done tons of research

2~ have at least a 5 gallon tank for breeding in

3~ have at LEAST a 40 gallon tank for growing out the fry, a million jars will also work well

4~ have plenty of live food cultures ready for feeding the fry

5~ have the time to care for the fry

6~ have a plan of WHAT you're going to do with a hundred bettas when they're full grown

ok i was jus wondering if a 2g would work i have a 3 month old cory in alone in the 10g ill move him to the 2g and i also have a divider and many places for the female betta to hide and once i see the bubble nest ill put the female back till the fry are free swimming then i can put them in lttle mustard jars that i have i have over 80 of those jars sitting in my garage ill clean then and i have like 999999999 un hatched brine shrimp eggs for returning my one cory and tetras. but im still going to research more then ill try should i only have one or 2 females

1 FEMALE

1 FEMALE BETTA + 1 MALE BETTA

AND ONLY WHEN THEY ARE IN THE SPAWN TANK - NOT LIVING TOGETHER

*sigh* that help-line is starting to look like a better & better idea...

Do you have any more questions about breeding your bettas?
Make sure you make plans with the LPS BEFORE you spawn or find someone with a hungry carnivore who can take them. You can get between 0-300 fry in one spawn.
