Breeding betta

Have a male siamese fighting fish in a small filtered tank but it isn't heated the tank is furnished with a few plants, a castle and a "no fishing" sign. In a separate heated and filtered tropical tank i have 2 female fighting fish would it be posible to breed and how do i go about it?

i have also heard they need floating plants is this true??

they don't *NEED* floating plants, but they would encourage the male to build a nest. you see, his nest needs to be held together, and the plants would act as a sort of restraint for all the bubbles =)
