I have a colony of 6 albino corydorus catfish. I am sure that I have 2 males and 4 females. The only problem is that I cannot get them to breed. They are currently in a 29 gallon community tank. Would it be ok to move them into a 10 gallon tank for breeding? If so, what should be in it? And will they hurt their fry? Thanks ahead!

If you bought them from a lfs and have not had them long, they may not be mature enough to breed yet and you may have to wait some months before they breed. When i first bought my albino corys about 8months ago i had to wait about 3 months before they were older enough to breed.
When they are ready/older enough there should be an obvious difference in size between male and female; the females will be bigger than the males and more robust looking.
With corys it does not matter so much that you get alot of a particular in the group as it does with so many livebearers and as long as you have at least 2 females things should be fine.
I have noticed when with my big albino female cory her stomache darkens a bit and is very fat before she is about to lay her eggs.

Just make sure the corys have a steady supply of catfish pellets, algae wafer and the odd fish flake and good water quality conditions and they should be fine :)
Hope this info helps a bit.

My cories are over a year old, as I have had them for a while. My females are all very dark in the stomach area, plus very big! I guess tonight I will move them into my 10 gallon. This is what I am going to put in it:

*Sand
*Sponge Filter
*Submersible Heater
*Large Rock With A Flat Surface
*Food Discs

Any other suggestions? Thanks again!

Adding some plants with lots of fine/tightly packed leaves will be good so that baby corys can hide in the plants when they hatch.
