I have received two trios of fancy guppies kindly donated by a breeder in the UK. The fish are golden coffer tails.
I will now try to establish this strain in my direction. The strain is already strong which will give me a head start.
I will take the fry from the first two females and keep them in seperate tanks. Then pick a trio from each tank and start again. My first aim is to stabilise the line - then try to add color and size while keeping conformity.
There is a wealth of information out there on the web including IFGA registered judges.
I will get my rewards from developing my hobby and hopefully will get an understanding of genetics - it is still gibberish to me.
