Brazilian Pennywort

the bottom of one stem of my brazilian pennywort is slimy -- like if you pinched it, it wouldn't be a healthy stem, it would be rotted. I'm guessing that's bad?

Also, its the base stem for a major part of the plant ... can any of the rooted leaf notches be placed under the rocks to grow normally/propogate?

all my moneywort did that too.. and it grew so nicely before..
