Generally, I would agree, or store policy would make me believe, anyways
, that the more money you pay, the longer-lived the hardware. Stuff I've read says that cheapness = short-lived, and going by stuff I've read, the expensive brands work out well for people on here.
Anyways, I was wondering if someone on here would be willing to make a list of brands in order (best to worst). I realize this sounds demanding, but the only reason I ask is that some guy came in today and said the Rena (a brand I had never heard of until I started working here) canister filter had "high ratings" and the fluvals weren't nearly as good. I've read nothing about the Renas on here, and fluval posts are very common on here. Therefore, to become more knowledgeable and figure out where the "ratings" might have come from, I ask this question.
More demands:
Could these be split up b/w commonly available in the U.S. and U.K.?
Sorry to be needy, but this might help other people. *shrugs*
