I plan on setting up a brackish water aquarium. the tank will be a 20 Long and have a 300gph Aqua clear filter.
I have very little knowledge on brackish fish, and have a few questions.

1: What Specific gravity does that water need to be at for them to live comfortably?
2: is stocking different for a brackish aquarium?
3: do brackish fish have any specific needs that do not apply to freshwater (besides salinity)?

Here are some of the fish I had in mind.
Figure 8 puffer (Tetraodon Biocellatus)
Glass fish (Chanda Ranga)
Knight Goby (Stigmatogobius Sadanundio)
Celebes Rainbowfish (Marosatherina ladigesi)
Bumle bee gobies (Brachygobius doriae)
Brackish Killie fish (family Cyprinodontidae)

Keep in mind I don't want all of these fish, I just was considering some of them
I have only a slight idea on the temperament and compatibility of these fish , and any extra help would be appreciated :)

The celebes rainbows are a very delicate fish that are better suited to a species tank so if you plan on having a brackish community they wouldnt be the best choice.

Knight gobies i have kept and bred (no luck raising the fry though), great fish that i will get again one day. They are best kept in a small group and rarely show any aggression.

Ive not kept any of the other species but you need to bare in mind that the glass fish are predators and will eat any smaller tankmates if they can fit them in their mouths, ie the bumble bee gobies and killies.

I never measured the gravity of my brackish tank, i worked on the formula of 3 tablespoons of marine salt to each 5 US gallons of water. I never experienced any differences with the brackish water from freshwater but i only kept it as a brackish tank for a fairly short while due to the very limited availability of brackish fish.

Thank you for your help :D
All I really want are the gobies, and maybe another token oddball.
Can anyone recommend any other gobies that will be compatible with the knight gobies? or provide a website with general information about brackish fish? :)

I did some research, and I found a few I like. :)
the Desert Goby and the Peacock Goby caught my eye, but they are on the small side, and the knight might possably eat them. I think I read that the peacocks only live in freshwater too.
still not much luck on finding any info on the internet about them :/

Peacocks are a true freshwater species and as you rightly said would be too small to live with the knights.

What about the Desert gobies?

Here is a stocking plan I have in mind

3 knight gobies
3 desert gobies
2 figure 8 puffers (would be willing to substitute with something else)

Now I know that Figure 8's and Knight gobies are easy enough to get a hold of, but what about Desert gobies? I don't imagine them being too common, or if my fish store could order them :/

FS, Monos and "freshwater morays" (actually brackish) are excellent for your tank, however I'm not completely sure on compatibility with your other fish.

Monos and Freshwater Morays would be to big for a 20g long Eelzor, Monos also prefer to have the salt content raised as they grow older almost ending up in salt water when fully grown. Infact alot of Monos are found in salt water.

Thanks Lithril, but I've already been to that site, it help a lot with helping he understand setting it up, but it didn't provide that much info on the fish.
Thanks anyways :)
