I was thinking of getting a 2 or 5 gal for one betta, or a long one (24" x 12 x 12) and dividing it up

I really want one but know im risking my life

Do it! and if he gets mad...so be it! xD At least you'll be up a couple of bettas in the long run. Sure he'll chew you out now, but you know he loves the littles fishies. He loves them so much. Hee hee, David thinks I am just going to buy algea wafers for my pleco...silly man, when will he learn?
