Bought my first auction fishies!!

My auction just closed, and I'm excited I got the fish I wanted.

Here's the parents, they're gorgeous - dad is OHM and mom is at least HM geno:

Kiddo examples of each color:

Each of the offspring carries the other color, so that's why I got them. I am hoping these will be a good cross with Wahookie and possibly my black plakat. (He ate for the first time yesterday, BTW!! ) Anyways, I bought a pair and now I have to decide what color I want. I'm leaning towards the green mask, what do y'all think?

Florida to Washington. And you can go ahead and give me a hard time about it, but then you can go and check out how many of the fish on Aquabid come from Thailand or other parts of Asia. How do you think pet stores and even private enthusiasts get their wild caught specimens, or even a lot of their tank raised stock? Sorry if I'm interpreting your post wrong, but I feel you are going to give me a hard time about this, when really it happens all the time.


MrBones - These are the ones you would have had to pay 70 shipping for?! Or something like that? Crazy... And I can't get the actual fish in the picture, but I can hopefully get a green male like that, if I choose the masked.

oooooh, i've heard soo many bad things about bluebettausa. he is on a few bad seller lists just so you know....i'm sure you will get your fish, it's more to do with his attitude towards customers, not very friendly.

Well, if he's gonna be unfriendly, that's fine, I just want the fish. May not order from him again if it sucks really bad, but we'll see. Maybe his tune has changed. We'll cross our fingers and hope for the best! He only has 3 negatives out of 140 on Aquabid, so I'm not too worried. I'll let you all know how it goes.



Edit: Actually, just checked, and this isn't Bluebettausa fish. That wasn't even the seller. The parents might be theirs or something, and that is why it's on the photo, I don't know. Anyways, the seller is "Better Bettas", and in their email that I just reread, it says BlueBettausa is their affiliate. So that's good!!

why is he on bad seller lists?
i have purchased from him twice and i have purchased twice from one of his better bettas affiliates-veldfire.
great sellers.
very nice packing jobs in actual coolers as opposed to pieces of styrofoam like some other sellers- and they send you and indian almond leaf and a pen

I have been talking with him about doing auctions on my site and he has been very nice from the start. He even offered to put a banner on his site for me. Hopefully it will all work out.
