I'm gonna be stocking my first tank soon and looking for a variety of tank mates.

A nice looking danio group, shrimp, horned snails and bottom dwellers.

Been looking into corys and plecos
Can you suggest a small, peaceful, eye catching species of either?
Does anyone have danios and how are they in general?

I like doing research but much prefer this real time feedback.

Tank is Marina vue 87ltr for sizing, sand substrate.

Can't wait to go fish shopping :banana3:

Cory Hastatus is a pygmy variety of cories. They are very lovely, and with the black spot on their tails they are very eye catching. Hard to find though. I have 3, they are much bolder than my normal pygmies. Pygmy cories are nice, but their markings are much more subdued, compared to the hastatus, and depending on what you are going for, either could be a very nice choice. Another variety of pygmy cories is Cory Habrosus, though I have no experience with them

Super Red Bristlenose plecos are lovely, I have heard they only get prettier and more vibrant as they age and grow. Longfin Albino Bristlenose plecos are also very eye catching, but may blend in too well with a sand substrate

And I have no experience with danios, so I can't help there

Pygmy cory!
3 kinds to pick from
Small so you can get a group

I think plecos might be too big?

Thanks for your suggestions. I've screenshot this for the names and will look into them.
Cheers

Perfect thank you.
Really liking the salt and pepper variety. Bottom dwelling behaviour is what I was looking for.
Ha!
Me, too! That is kinda the reason. I have a space ready when I can find them.
(Although they are all cute)

Looking forward to the input from others on danios....

Oh and also leapord.
So many to choose from!
I love their shape and the fact they are really hardy.
Would love to hear real life experience from someone who has kept them.
