Are you saying Sterbai is the hardiest of all cories?

Sterbai are far from the hardiest of Corydoras, theyre not the most delicate either but they still require a bit more care than the really hardy ones. Peppered, bronze and albino Corydoras are probably the hardiest strains, they will tolerate pH of up to 8 and can even live in unheated tanks, like most Corydoras they grow to around 2 inches.

Either you must have had a good stock of sterbai and bad stock of others or combination of both. I too have heard that sterbai (and others like panda) being more sensitive compare to common counterparts listed by CFC...
