Hi...

Im just wondering can i keep 3 of them wif otos and cories in a 35 gal tank wif long nose shrimps but i was wondering can they help me clear my common snail population too?I have a apple snail in there and i dun want it go get killed..So if i introduced the chain loaches, will it kill my apple snail...?

Thanks in advance

yes, the botias will kill and eat the apple snail.
they do this by pecking at the snails breathing tube untill
it suffocates, them they devour the snail.
it may not happen imediatley, but it will happen at some point.

Sidthimunki's can be very aggressive and the smaller the group they are kept in the more aggressive they can be, I have 10 and they have done some damage to the dorsal fins of some cories that I had house in their tank for a few days while moving tanks around.

They love snails and the size of the snail doesnt bother them.

Although they are called "dwarf" loaches, they actually grow well. The reason they seem to be called such is that they don't often live long enough to grow to adult size. At a popular loach site, there are pictures of big ones. The species is on the international red list of endangered species.
