As juvies, do they have faint black vertical stripes?

Yes, and a few faint spots as well. Also, being scaleless, you can see the muscle divisions in the body which sometimes gives the appearance of vertical stripes.

The reason I asked is I saw a few at PetSmart (of all places), and I wanted to be sure they were morleti and not mis-marked. I haven't seen them in 2 years in Chicago. They were also only $1.49 each.
