Hi i was just wondering about the mentioned species, i had seen the Botia almorhae in the lfs and thought they were nice so googled them and it came up with yoyo loaches. So today while i was in there nosing around i noticed that there were "yoyo loaches" in a seperate tank and were labelled up as Botia lahachata. When i asked about it they said they we're most definitley different species. So once again i googled both names and it came up for both as Yoyo loach/Pakistani loach. So i was just wondering are these the same fish? If not whats the differences and if i was looking into getting some what would i need to bear in mind for either?

Thanks, Jorel

Yes, they are the same. Both are used, but Botia almorhae is the scientifically correct name.
