I have seen other friends of mine own these fish and keep them at 28 Degrees. They seem to live well and thrive without any problem. But i have seen on other places that they are coldwater. Clarify this for me please. thanks.

They do preffer cooler water than most tropical fish, the mountain streams they come from stay cool because of the altitude and fast flow. Keeping them at tropical temperatures leaves them open to disease and infections which will kill them.

So, a goldfish can live with a borneo sucker without any problem whatsoever?

by that I ment in a coldwater tank with any goldfish without fighting.

In a large tank, yes, and in a pond in summer (in UK and other temperate countries), but they can't over-winter when there's frost.
